This month we ran a course designed by Bud Houston back in 2017. This course was run in 2017, 2018, 2020, and now 2026.

Call, Direct, Send Briefing:

Objective: Complete the numbered course as fast as possible without faults and earn bonuses for three distance challenges.

Key Points:

Each distance challenge is worth 10 points. The first challenge is a Call; the handler leads out from the start line and calls the dog to start the course. The second challenge is the Direct; the handler must send the dog through a short sequence that requires confidence from the dog as well as possible layering skills. The final distance challenge is the Send. For this section, the handler must send the dog to perform another challenge. Often the send is at the finish, but in this course, it is a send to a distance tunnel.

All standard course faults apply.

Negative times are possible and highly encouraged.
